In recent years, out-of-state special interest groups and have begun pouring money and influence into our local elections. Their goal is simple: reshape our communities to fit an extreme agenda that doesn’t reflect the needs, priorities, or everyday realities of Magic Valley families.

But we’ve watched this play out elsewhere in Idaho, and we know it doesn’t have to be our future. When similar groups tried to overwhelm local voices in other parts of our state community members came together and reasserted control over their elections.

By reconnecting voters with the issues that matter most and ensuring people were informed and engaged, we can protect our representation—and strengthen our community in the process.
