OUR BOARD
Gretchen Clelland was raised in northern Nevada in the ranching industry, then came to Twin Falls to attend the College of Southern Idaho where she met her husband, Scott. Together, they own a small trucking company where they haul heavy equipment and provide water support for wildfires.
Gretchen has been in the financial services industry for 25 years as a licensed financial advisor. She operates an Edward Jones office in Jerome.
She has been involved with the Idaho Republican party for more than 2 decades and served in numerous capacities, including serving on the state GOP central committee and as chairwoman of the Twin Falls Republican Central Committee. She is a firm believer in the core principles of smaller government and reduced taxation, and has consistently worked to preserve these values in Idaho.
Steven Kohtz is a family medicine physician in Twin Falls, where he returned to practice in 2008. Having spent most of his life in the Magic Valley, Steven comes from a family with deep local roots and is proud to raise his two daughters here.He has served in leadership roles within his medical practice and on the Board of Trustees for the Idaho Medical Association, including as President from 2021 to 2022. Steven is also active in his community and currently serves as a precinct committeeman in the Twin Falls County Republican Central Committee.
Passionate about strong communities, he supports quality public education, responsible infrastructure investment, and a business-friendly environment. He values individual freedoms and believes in providing accurate, trustworthy information to voters. This commitment led him to join Magic Valley Voter Services, an organization dedicated to helping residents make informed decisions at the polls.
Greg Lanting is a longtime Twin Falls County resident, educator, and public servant. He grew up in rural Twin Falls County near Hollister and is a graduate of Filer High School. Greg spent 16 years as a teacher and 17 years as a school principal, serving generations of local families.
His commitment to community service includes eight years on the Twin Falls Planning and Zoning Commission, sixteen years on the Twin Falls City Council, two years as Mayor of Twin Falls, and two years representing District 25 in the Idaho Legislature. He has also served four years on the Twin Falls County Fair Board.
Greg holds an Associate’s degree from the College of Southern Idaho, a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Idaho, and a Master’s degree from the College of Idaho. A common-sense Republican, he values practical solutions, local decision-making, and strong communities and he’s proud to call Twin Falls County and Idaho home.
